Welcome to the Houston Tennis Club

Founded in 1980, The Houston Tennis Club (HTC) is a non-profit organization formed to create a framework for promoting athletic competition in the sport of tennis among it’s members. HTC does not discriminate or deny membership on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion or creed.

HTC has a roster of players ranging from novice to advanced tournament players. It is also home to the annual HOUTEX tennis tournament and charity fundraiser. The HOUTEX tournament is one of the oldest and most prestigious gay tennis tournaments in the United States and is sanctioned by the Gay and Lesbian Tennis Association (GLTA), a member organization of the United States Tennis Association (USTA).

Weekly Tennis at Memorial Park Tennis Center

•    Wednesday - 25 January 2012 - 3 courts at 7:30PM                 
•   Sunday - 29 January 2012 - 5 courts at 9:00AM and 4 at 10:30AM

January

Friday, 27th - HTC Happy Hour at F Bar from 6-9PM.  F Bar sponsored HOUTEX last year.  Social Director, Jon (Hollywood), is looking forward to seeing your smiling faces at F Bar.  Feel free to invite your friends that interested in HTC; this is a great way for them to meet current members.  

February

Sunday, 12th - Fun Charity Tournament - YOU MUST BE A DUES PAID MEMBER TO PLAY.  This tourney will be a singles tournament and the format is 2 out of 3 TIE BREAKERS!  The matches are quick and every point is critical.  More information about this event will be coming in early February.  
Sunday, 12th - HTC Board Meeting just after tennis at Beck's Prime at Memorial Park
Monday, 20th - President's Day Holiday

March

Friday-Sunday, 2-4 - HOT10 Austin Tennis Club GLTA tournament
