Welcome to the Houston Tennis Club

Founded in 1980, The Houston Tennis Club (HTC) is a non-profit organization formed to create a framework for promoting athletic competition in the sport of tennis among it’s members. HTC does not discriminate or deny membership on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion or creed.

HTC has a roster of players ranging from novice to advanced tournament players. It is also home to the annual HOUTEX tennis tournament and charity fundraiser. The HOUTEX tournament is one of the oldest and most prestigious gay tennis tournaments in the United States and is sanctioned by the Gay and Lesbian Tennis Association (GLTA), a member organization of the United States Tennis Association (USTA).

•    Wednesday - 22 May 2013 - 2 courts at 6:00PM; 3 courts at 7:30PM
•    Sunday - 26 May 2013 - 5 courts from 9:00AM to noon

Texas Cup - Saturday-Sunday, May 18-19. University of Texas at Austin, Penick-Allison Tennis Center. 

April
- Singles Club Championships - Saturday-Sunday, April 13-14, from 9:00AM to 1:30PM. Memorial Park. Open/A, B and C/D. You must have paid your 2013 dues. $10 entry fee. Email htcpresident@gmail.com by 6:00PM April 11 if interested.

March
- Promiscuous Doubles - Friday, March 8, from 7 to 9 at Memorial Park. You must have paid your 2013 dues - or better yet, bring them. $5 court fee, balls provided by HTC!

• Promiscuous Doubles - Friday, Feb 1st from 7-9 at Memorial Park. You must have paid your 2013 dues - or better yet, bring them! $5 court fee, balls provided by HTC!
• "Mornin' Wood" charity tourney - Sunday, Feb 17th from 9-noon at Memorial Park. You must have paid your 2013 dues - or better yet, bring them! $5 court fee, balls provided by HTC! Bring a wooden racket if you have one. HTC will provide wooden rackets for players without one.
