Houston Tennis Club (HTC) welcomes you to our 45th annual tennis tournament, HOUTEX45 presented by Throckmorton Law Firm. This tournament is how we give back to our local Houston community. Every year, players from around the globe come to compete in our three day tournament. All proceeds from player entry fees, in-kind donations, and the silent auction go directly to our selected charity for the year, The Mahogany Project (TMP).
Since our inception in 1980, HTC has donated over $200,000 to local charities from our tournament proceeds, and with your support this year, we aim to reach our biggest goal yet of raising $15,000 for this year’s beneficiary, The Mahogany Project (TMP). TMP’s mission is to create and provide safe social spaces for transgender and non-binary people in Houston, TX. They offer vital supportive services, including emergency housing resource navigation, a food pantry, a clothing closet, and case management support.
THE ENTRY FEE
The entry fee for one event is $180.00. The entry fee for two events is $200.00.
The deadline to register is Friday, October 30 at midnight.

Entry into one of the highest rated GLTA tournaments of 2025.

Entry into the weekend’s events: Thursday’s player party and Saturday evening’s tournament banquet, held at The Houston Museum Natural Science’s Paleontology Hall.

Play will start Friday, November 13 and take place at Memorial Park Tennis Center. Consolation matches will be held at Lost Forest Tennis Center. All finals will take place on Sunday, November 15.

HOW TO REGISTER

Create your GLTA account if you don’t already have one.

Sign up for your events (max two events per player).

Pay the registration fee through Paypal.

If you do not have a doubles partner in mind, we will pair you with a player who also needs a partner.

Entries will be capped at 200 players.
For those who haven’t played GLTA but have played USTA here’s how the skill divisions compare:
OPEN: Highly Advanced (5.0+)
A: Advanced (4.0 - 4.5)
B: Strong Intermediate (3.5 - 4.0)
C: Low Intermediate (3.0 - 3.5)
D: Beginner (<3.0/2.5 and below)
