HTC offers a wide range of competitive opportunities throughout the year—both internal and external—designed to bring our community together and elevate everyone’s game.

Club Competitions

We host a variety of internal competitions that are open exclusively to HTC members:

Club Championships – Our annual singles and doubles tournament to crown the year’s best.
Team Tennis – Fun, friendly team-based events that build camaraderie.
HTC Ladder – A seasonal singles ladder with rotating matchups that ends in a tournament finale.

These are all great ways to meet new people, challenge your game, and enjoy a fun and inclusive environment.

Our Signature Annual Tournament

HTC proudly hosts HOUTEX, our GLTA-sanctioned international tournament, every fall. In 2025, we’ll be celebrating 44 years of LGBTQ+ tennis through this amazing weekend of tennis, social events, and charitable fundraising.

GLTA Tournaments

We’re part of the GLTA (Gay and Lesbian Tennis Alliance), a global LGBTQ+ tennis tour with dozens of tournaments held worldwide. HTC members regularly travel to and compete in GLTA tournaments throughout the year.

USTA League & Tournaments

HTC proudly fields an official team in the USTA League, giving members the chance to compete in organized team play throughout the season. Members also regularly participate in local USTA-sanctioned tournaments held across the Houston area.
